Viktoriia Laptieva is a versatile artist. She works in a variety of genres and experiments with various materials.

The series of flowers is beautiful. Most often Viktoriia paints peonies, orchids, lilies. Flowers are especially delicate, vibrant because of the transparent watercolor strokes, the richness of the endless gradation of shades and halftones.

Being a designer by education, Viktoriia Lapteva pays much attention to paintings designed for modern interiors. So, a series of portraits of black women is an extremely bright experiment. The artist uses all sorts of special effects in the form of textured contrasts, color solutions, stains of liquid paint on the canvas, decorative elements. These techniques plus expressive details, complementing the image, blur the stylistic boundaries of painting and graphics in these paintings.

In the field of interior solutions, artist's experiments with different materials are increasing. There are sophisticated, exquisite batik on silk with a rich coloristic solution, and decorative paintings, using glass decor, and minimalistic compositions with canvas inserts and wooden details.

A separate part of paintings in an original manner with graphic techniques, are colorful Ukrainian landscapes, glorifying the richness and beauty of the homeland. On canvases, it looks like numerous refracting planes filled with stylized decorative elements - old traditional ukrainian houses, trees, fields, rivers, - saturated textures and color accents.

One more large series are urban landscapes - her favorite views of Venice, London, Paris and others. Some are quite realistic, but most are in the impressionistic style. The artist changes the style and rhythm of strokes. They are watercolor-blurred, transparent, sometimes mosaic-crushed, turning into dense textured..

A large block of Viktoriia Lapteva's paintings is children's theme. These episodic moments of life, frozen for a moment, but continuing to live on the canvas in transmitted emotions, in dynamic strokes molding the shape, creating an active, flickering environment. So, the children, frozen in kiss, father, spinning his daughter in dance, baby, riding a bicycle, it seems, in the next moment continue their movement.

Viktoriia Laptieva is an artist who is not trivial, giving birth to expressive images, constantly searching for bright compositional and coloristic solutions.
