Yuliia Lychahina is an artist-hippologist, an animal painter, who writes mostly pictures depicting horses. The artist works since 2013, spends a lot of time studying the anatomy and material she uses.

Based on a realistic painting school, Borys Lytovchenko uses impressionistic techniques, balancing on the verge between these styles. Wide and small strokes in artist's paintings are sometimes quite dynamic and violate the boundaries of the form, but the color and tone integrity remains.

Coloristic solutions in Borys Lytovchenko's paintings cause great interest and admiration. The artist is a beautiful colorist, he has a rich color palette, consisting of infinitely diverse color nuances. It can be both pure sonorous colors, and muted pastel shades - all together they sound very harmonious.

I work mainly in the technique of oil painting, as well as graphics (colored pencils). The technique in which I work can be attributed to impressionism and expressionism. I am interested in the themes of the city, village, and also fascinated by figurative compositions with ethnic motifs.

Malykh has a house in the Carpathians. Once we celebrated the New Year there. Wolves were howling all around, and the snow was waist-deep. You felt like having been brought to the ancient times by a time-machine, and the “shadows of forgotten ancestors” were wandering around you. Perhaps, it was this place that shaped him as an artist.

He grew up in Kyiv, studied in Moscow, but when you look at what he does – molfar! He gathers various boards, twigs, and paints them with secret signs – molfar. Even when he uses decent canvas/oil, he still creates magic!

Once, art was born as magic. Malykh continues the tradition, covering the canvas with secret signs only he knows. And since he’s an “innate” colorist and has an animal sense of color, the result is splendid. I’ve seen his works in modern cottages over fireplaces – the cottages turned into fairy-tale castles at once.

He has 18 awards and distinctions at international exhibitions: 5 prizes with medals, 2 special prizes and 11 honorary awards.
Participant in FISAE international congresses: 2000, Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA (honorary award); 2002 Fredericshavn, Denmark; 2008 Beijing, China.
In 2012, the engravings were exhibited at the Washington Printmaking Art Museum.
In the 70's and 80's he performed a number of works in synthesis with architecture: Kaliningrad (Königsberg), Kyiv, Trostyanets, Bila Tserkva, Brovary, and others.
In the 80's he was a member of the creative association "Look". In the 90's he belonged to the society Alypia.
The works of the artist have in their collections museums in Ukraine and abroad, as well as private collections.
He appertain to artists who base their work on the achievements of world art, as well as on the traditions of the millennial history of Ukrainian national culture.

I embarked on a creative path because I felt the need to fantasize and think, to create something of my own. In me, the lawlessness of creative "explosives" lurked. I no longer wanted to act as taught in academic classrooms, I did not want to be normal - that is, I did not want to be like everyone else. The thought lived in me: to find my way in art, to create a new and unique

I work with graphic techniques that help show the rhythmicity and repetition of modern architecture. The etching also reveals the theme of botany, the cyclical nature of the world. I transform things into new codes or symbols that become the new modern alphabet. I also experiment with printed techniques and zero-waste art.

Life during the war
On February 24, I decided to stay in Kyiv, at home, to help ьн relatives and neighbors.
Only about two weeks after the start of the war I was able to think about art and work.
During this time, my relatives from Kyiv went abroad, and my niece and her friend were safely evacuated from Bucha via the Irpin Bridge.
I decided to sell my artworks and send 70% to the volunteers and official foundations. Thank you everyone, who help!

I am deeply fascinated by the nuances of the creative process in an artist's studio. The exploration of diverse forms and methods to achieve visual expressiveness particularly impresses me. This approach involves experimenting with time and space, essential elements in the creation of art. It goes beyond merely selecting colors or shapes; it's about how these elements interact within the realms of time and space, leading to unique artistic discoveries.

What captivates me most is the use of unconventional materials. Specifically, employing paper and found objects for collages and assemblages unlocks limitless possibilities for artists. This method introduces elements of the real world into art, transforming mundane objects into components of a richer and more profound artistic expression. Such experimentation with materials enables artists to convey their ideas in innovative and unforeseen ways.

A characteristic feature of creativity is the original recognizable style, found his own language in the interpretation of the landscape, and religious themes. Corpus artworks. He mainly works in the genre of landscape and still life. Motives of the native land prevail.
