About myself and my artworks:

Ukrainian artist Mykola Boliukh has a distinct individual style.

The paintings reflect multidimensional subjects in which real events are interwoven with other, parallel realities. In artist's paintings, as in the kaleidoscope, characters of different eras are inflicted, but in this contrast we often see permanence of human nature. The world of his paintings is associative and metaphysical.

The direction of Mykola Boliukh creativity, its concept is a romantic philosophy.

In the densely populated paintings of Mykola Boliukh there are characters from different eras and worlds. His images seemed frozen in time, in an ephemeral space, vibrating with bright colors. Against the backdrop of idyllic landscapes, beautiful distances and architecture, women are playing around, rustling with lavish dresses, arm-in-arm with cavaliers, couples kissing, musicians playing their concerts. However, only at first glance everything seems so serene: people are immersed in their inner world, their poses and faces are static. This is a kind of aesthetic irony of the author for the immutability of human nature.

Before us appears a kind of theatrical action, sometimes multidimensional - the images are merged with the surrounding, and in one plot, characters from parallel realities intersect and coexist. Saints and angels live on the same canvas with folk types, the space of the picture is filled with symbolic objects. The artist does not tell us, but seems to hint that the divine is always there, throughout history, mankind is under the protection and relentless observation of the higher wise essences. Signatures to pictures give us answers, but give rise to new questions, encourage reflection.

A mixture of irony and heavenly heights as a strong emotionally intelligent cocktail with a tart taste of mystery, tickles nerves and excites the imagination. A refined shimmering color, like a scattering of jewelry, gives a high aesthetic pleasure.
