The painting is textured, you can see the brushstrokes, different coating and different materials in different parts of the painting, so the varnish and different parts of the painting look different. The surface of the painting is glossy.

Concept: It's a work about trauma of generations. In the history of Ukraine as well as in the history of the whole world there are a lot of tragic events, which were passed on as traumatic experience to the following generations. For example: the Holodomor, the war. I chose a woman breastfeeding her child as a symbol. The transmission of traumatic experience through breastfeeding, the formation of a new human being, here it is not only a physiological process, but also a mental one.

The woman's body is abstract, bodily in places, charred or in the ground. The silhouette of the mother is a silhouette of Paleolithic Venus, whose interpretation is the Mother Goddess, fertility and security. The child is rendered as a black silhouette, it is more like a burned wound on the mother's body. They are surrounded by emptiness. This work is a symbol, an ode to the dead.
