Have you ever fantasized about the fantastic good world that comes to life when the evening comes, when everyone falls asleep? When suddenly, funny little men come out of the forest tabernacles and wilds, light is turned on in the windows of their small houses, hidden in dense foliage, and movement and life begin in them. You can watch them thanks to the magical artworks of the artist Hanna Dobrodii.
After graduating from National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture, the workshop of the famous Soviet painter socialist realist A.M. Lopukhov, Hanna chooses her path in art, revealing the bright talent of a children's illustrator. Small canvases painted in oils are full of charm and poetry. The restrained pastel color scheme is underlined by a fine panting technique, when brush strokes are hardly visible. The artist blends them, thus giving the canvas lightness and transparency. Images of characters are viewed as if through a haze, hints, they are residents of the world of fabulous dreams. Gentle watercolor still lifes and landscapes of the artist continue the theme of unreal and unearthly life beyond the borders of everyday life.
For each attentive viewer, the paintings of Hanna Dobrodii can become wonderful friends and delight day by day, immersing into fantasy and magic of children's world, leading away from the real and setting up a romantic mood.
