Southern sun, sea winds and air made me see the soviet modernist plant as a suger plant whatever does it produce.

The image was made in Evpatoria, Crimea.
Usually I work on plain air to catch the impression directly, later finishing works at the studio. That maybe is a reason for choosing pastels as a medium, as it lets one work quickly and easy to carry it. Pastel also gives many possibilities to work with color. I use only colored paper to get the overall tone and the atmosphere. Also I work with tempera, I like this kind of a bit more decorative but still complicated surface of the image that it makes.
