Olena Sachenko's paintings enable viewers to get acquainted with the creative individuality of a representative of symbolic-narrative expressionism.

Her inner search and reflections on art are based on the feminine sensory experience of understanding color and mysterious signs, which, through figurative images, manifest themselves in the artist's paintings.

Amazing Chernihiv artist Olena Sachenko is an intellectual, very demanding person, bringing to the world her special aesthetics of beauty and kindness. Fine art requires such a strong tension of inner mental forces, as if inside of you - fire, - says the artist, and this mystical fire characterizes all of her paintings.

The style of her paintings is an unusual alloy, in which, against the background of color expressionism, both symbolism and the abstract and decorative component sound. This is the result of creative search and a good educational base in the field of graphics and color science.

She also uses a rich arsenal of visual instruments. A number of Olena Sachenko's paintings have a clearly expressed philosophical orientation, objects in them sound like symbols - "Cup", "Citadel", "Metachemistry", "Guardian", etc. They look whole, decorative, with lots of interesting details and textures. You can feel the artist's love for Gustav Klimt's paintings.

The color palette in them is bold, saturated, which is also typical for other paintings of Olena - landscapes, still lifes, city motifs. Her whole creative temperament is mostly manifested in color modulations. Each series of paintings of Olena has its own direction - these are experiments, interesting searches. Most of the landscapes are realistic, but concise, with color generalizations, volumetric layers that set the motion for everything: the crowns of trees, air masses, earth. You can feel the flair and skills of the graphic artist.

A large number of still lifes of different content is balancing on the verge between reality and decorative, but it's always fabulously beautiful, it's a fireworks of feelings. Olena structured the space of the painting with clear dynamic strokes, organized the color into streams, creating a reality similar to a color kaleidoscope.

In some paintings, the energy of color goes beyond the image, everything dissolves in abstract spots and lines. But always the invariable dominant is pure clear color, its overflows, like a melody, different in each new painting. These are emotionally warm, cozy, rich in color nuances of paintings with beautiful names "Good Morning", "Warm Light", "Caramel", etc.

A series of city landscapes, brought from trips across Europe, enchants with a plastic series, an unusual construction of a composition and a soft color palette. The artist, for greater expressiveness, generalizes the houses, the road into solid color spots, paying more attention only to one single element. In the picture "Prague, Karlov's Bridge" is a fantastic sky, woven of a lot of pearlescent pink colors. Here the line of strokes is invisible, but only soft textured overlays of colors on each other and separate contrasting graphic elements.
