A long time ago, when the fashion for still lifes went on, Vitalii Movchan decided: “I will master the most complicated painting technique! The Dutch! ..” - Why did I choose the most realistic painting school? - And he answers in the most unexpected way. - Because I decided to fully surrender to modern.
But the painter did not want to dive into it recklessly, as others did. Vitalii first decided to master realism so as to have the full right to abandon it, applying all its achievements. And gradually the artist becomes the Movchan artist, whom we know well today.
Vitalii Movchan in his avant-garde campaigns does not refuse camouflaged, but full-scale plan. Because, in his opinion, the dramatic tension of the composition suffers without it. However, he uses life drawing only in sketches. Because, as he believes, nature is too dominant, being in itself, and is only the material for subsequent searches.
Vitalii Movchan almost solved all his problems with tone and composition. And there is so much nature in his head that the whole life may not be enough to pour it on the canvas. He has a lot of sketches for future paintings, but they have to wait, because if you immediately implement them, then you have to completely reinterpret everything, because the artist is overwhelmed with new images and new discoveries every time. So the life of the artist is changing, flowing. And it is necessary, having a talent, to have time to draw from it and transfer it into real life, so that all other people see it, this inner current life.
