Navrotska Zoya Mykhailivna, art critic, head of the research department of the Museum of Contemporary Ukrainian Art Korsakiv, head of the Lutsk Art Museum Art critic's review 16/07/2021

... Petro Malyshko is from the generation of those Ukrainian artists whose works cannot be considered hastily or quickly. Diverse and integral, at the same time, it is marked by some strange force of magnetic attraction. The colorful surface of the canvases with the plastic sensuality of pasty strokes, the aesthetic feeling of the material flesh of the metal sculpture ... Here, through and through, there are no random thoughts, empty meaningless phrases, cheap pathos or banal flirtation with the viewer ...

... Petro Malyshko broke the tempting mirages of stereotypes. His search is in the realm of eternal artistic values. Good - evil, love - hatred, contemplation of beauty and its reflection ... These vectors of search for self-expression are inherent in painting, sculpture and graphics of the artist. Nevertheless, the defining axis of his work is the spiritual rootedness in national history and culture. As a true philosopher and poet-humanist, he not only captures in his art the events of the dramatic past, painful losses and bitter disappointments of his people, but tries to visualize those turbulent currents pulsating in the national consciousness today, sprouting life-affirming sprouts for tomorrow ...

... In the plane of the artist's work, in a surprising way, unobtrusively and deliberately there is a kind of reconstruction of time and space, the past and the present of being are mixed. Here - every detail is balanced and weighty. Enlightened wisdom, personal responsibility of the author for every motif, every image, theme with which he addresses his contemporary counterpart, permeates everything: the play of shadows, chanting of colors, contrasts of flashes and shades, rebellious, pulsating expression of rhythms...
