KyivGallery Art Critic Art critic's review 27/11/2018

The formation of the style of Yurii Pysar has begun about 10 years ago during an active creative activity and participation in numerous exhibitions in Ivano-Frankivsk and Lviv. These progressive exhibitions with avant-garde, philosophical bias had an impact on the professional growth, polishing the artist's technique.

His field of interest includes various genre directions, in particular, themes: ballet, nude, as well as landscape and still life.

The artist's page presents a variety of still lifes with flowers. The artist paints minimalist, sometimes blurring the shape of objects and colors, solves color tasks using interaction of large color masses with small elements, tonal tasks with play of light, shadow, penumbra. So he sets a strong expressive movement on the canvas, in which flashes of light, glare, running shadows and half-tones hiding in folds interact. The dynamics are created by wide sweeping strokes, drips of paint along the large planes of the background and draperies.

It remains only to be surprised at the variety of color compositions offered by the artist, from rich, bright and contrasting in autumn flowers, to the most delicate pastel color tones in roses, lilacs, and violets. With such an abundance of floral artworks, their compositional solutions and color combinations do not repeat. Each new artwork is always a small discovery, because as a true artist-impressionist Yurii Pysar not only paints a still life, but creates an emotion, a color association...

Talking about the landscapes of the artist they are also colorful, generalized, and always have some mystery, a point of attraction for the eye - whether it is a color expressive brushstroke, or a golden speck of light. With relative simplicity of the plot, the artist successfully solves complex coloristic tasks.
