Erofeeva Olga
Olga Yerofeeva is a graphic artist, painter, master of monumental and decorative art, she is a truly authoritative and experienced master who knows almost all techniques of monumental art - encaustic, enamel, batik, mosaic and others. She developed her own author's version of easel painting using levkas, where she was able to realize the unity of painting and graphics, to achieve a sense of renewal at the modern stage of this ancient and now rare technique.
Paintings of the artist
(7)In recent years, the artist has been painting a lot with oils and pastels. These techniques make it possible to find new compositional and spatial solutions. Depending on the figurative task, Olga easily, as if playing, changes the manner and style of writing. She paints still lifes using clear colored spots, confident, sometimes hard strokes, reaching a high level of generalization of forms, bringing them closer to a decorative sound. In her plot compositions, made with oil paints, there is a noticeable looseness of manner, free movement of a wide brush and palette knife, which confidently mark the forms; the color scheme is highlighted, various shades of blue, ocher, olive appear, which create a feeling of radiant space, which is characteristic of her work.
Olha Erofeeva is truly an artist of Ukrainian composition and worldview, who was able to develop her own national concept of Ukrainian attributes, unlike the traditional one, appealing in her creative works to the works of European classics - antiquity, baroque, renaissance, where the deep roots of Ukrainian art reach. Her creative assets include works not only of easel painting, but also the implementation of responsible projects at the state level - monumental paintings in Kharkiv, Kyiv, Dnipro, Poltava, design of several stations of the Kharkiv metro.

Olga Erofeeva's work has been well appreciated at many exhibitions in Ukraine and abroad. The organic synthesis of the heritage of world and European national art, intense work in new searches and creative experiments give reasons to consider the work of this master a truly national treasure, of which Ukrainian art and the European community can and have the right to be proud.
In Yerofeeva's work, the early expressive ("Picnic", 1986; "Kidnapping", 1989) and carnival-romantic images ("The Flutist", 1990; "At the Well", 1992) are replaced by the idea of a synthesis of abstract techniques and figurativeness. The artist creates a complete space of the painting, in which, obeying the author's artistic sense, energetic rhythms of contrasting planar-hazy color spots are built; flashes of light gliding in the hidden half-darkness; sharp lines piercing the space. Plot motifs are inextricably linked to this conditional emotional environment, and a complex thematic score is often played out, where the theme is revealed in several mise-en-scenes generated by the author's developed associative thinking. At the same time, the "wordiness" of the plot, which seems to revolve around the ambiguous secrecy, non-disclosure of thoughts and feelings, prompts the viewer to thoughtfully use the picture in a figurative and plastic way, to an exciting understanding of philosophical, intellectual, emotional puzzles ("Mlyn", 1996; "Northern Kiss ", 1997; "Search for Atlantis", 1997; "Mirage with a Ship", 1998; "Concerto Grosso", 1999; "Transportation", 1999).
Work in the field of monumental art is an important pillar in Olga Erofeeva's life. And she was able to realize her desire to reveal her individual vision more directly in the easel forms of painting and graphics, in which at times distant pictorial-plastic parallels with monumental works are felt. It was with easel works that the artist gained recognition at exhibitions in the cities of Poland, the USA, Germany, and France.
