Ihor Solodovnikov seeks to declare an innovative genre on a synthetic basis, which are portrait, landscape and easel painting contrary to the dominance of polystylistics and the lack of clear signs of genre in our time.

Impressionistic colorfulness, Ukrainian attitude, adhereness to the national understanding of the form and content of the artist's artworks emphasize this.
